Wilmington Head Start, Inc. is a free state and federally funded comprehensive program that works with the entire family. There are three requirements for your child to be accepted within Wilmington Head Start, Inc. Please read this list carefully and should you have any questions, our personnel will be happy to discuss this with you.

1) The child must be 3 years old at the time of enrollment.

3) Categorically eligible (homeless-foster care)

 

The family income must not exceed the income guidelines published by the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

You can fill out the Family Contact Form, do it over the phone or you can visit any of our four centers. Documents needed:

• Proof of age

• Proof of income

• Current Physical with updated Immunization records

• Health Insurance Card

• Dental visit results

• Health treatment plan with any listed allergies included

You will be contacted within 5 business days by a Family Service Advocate (FSA) to set up the enrollment appointment. You must have all your documentation ready and keep your appointment to enroll your child.
